One or both polymers incorporate one or more curing peroxides. The polymers are pressed together at high pressure and while heating to a temp. which exceeds the melting or softening point of the polyolefin, and the decomposition temp of the peroxide. The two polymers have solubility parameters which differ by at least 0.5 esp. 0.6(cal/cm3) power 0.5. The polyolefin is eg polyethylene or polypropylene and the other polymer is eg rubber. |
