PURPOSE:To improve the stability and the reproducing efficiency of the performance at the time of travelling by forming the grove at the surface facing other side at either of two magnetic layers for the recording head oppositely arranged and providing the magnetic layer at the groove and the magnetic resistance effect element on it. CONSTITUTION:At the time of recording, by energizing a coil electric conductor 36 formed by calculating the number of the coil which can be recorded to the recording media beforehand, the signal is recorded by the magnetic flux generated from the coil electric conductor. At such a time, since an MR element 33 is thin, saturation is executed, a nonmagnetic layer 37 with sufficient thickness exists in the lower direction of a groove 38, and therefore, almost magnetic flux flows at a magnetic layer 31, and the reduction of the recording efficiency does not occur. The signal is reproduced by the resistance change of the MR element 33 when the magnetic flux to flow from a gap G between a reproducing time magnetic layer 31 and a magnetic layer 32 pass through the MR element 33 and the magnetic layer 31 in the lower direction. The bias magnetic field necessary for reproduction can be obtained by energizing the coil electric conductor 36. Thus, the travelling time performance is stabilized and the reproducing efficiency is improved. |
