Spanner intended to provide an accurate measurement without any risk of error of the clamping torque by cancelling out the parasite effects of an inversion torque which may be introduced by the operator as a result of the way the effort is exerted on the spanner handle and by making the measurement of the torque which has been reached independent of the position of the origin of the force on the spanner. The two front and rear extremity elements (1 and 2) of the spanner are interconnected by means of intermediate articulated (10) or flexible (1f) elements, one of them transmitting the force exerted to the handle, at the same location on the extremity (3a) of the spring steel flexion deforming element (3) inscribed without any play between said intermediate elements; the traction and compression efforts to which the intermediate elements are subjected are exerted according to action lines xy and x'y' converging to a point O situated on the rotation axis of the assembly member without generating any torque or parasite effects on said deforming element.
