Device for assembling the sides of a continuous-casting ingot mould of which each side is formed by a composite wall comprising a copper plate 1 or 1a and a steel support plate 2 or 2a. In order to minimise the overall size, the vertical edges of the said composite wall have a profile in the shape of a comb whose teeth 5 or 5a are arranged in an interpenetrating relationship with the teeth 5a or 5 of the comb of the adjacent wall, and assembly screws 12, 12a are mounted alternately between each tooth 5 or 5a of each comb and the edge 6a or 6 of the border opposite the copper plate 1a or 1 of the adjacent wall. <IMAGE>
