PURPOSE:To clean a lube oil and improve lubricating performance for a turbocharger by providing, in parallel with a safety valve, an additional filter element for filtrating a lube oil to be fed to the turbocharger. CONSTITUTION:Oil in an oil pan 15 is sucked by a strainer 16 and pressurized by an oil pump 17 for introduction into an oil cooler 19. And oil after cooled is supplied to an oil filter 21. Oil as fed to the oil filter 21 passes through either of an upper filter element 22 or a lower additional filter element 23. And the oil passed through the filter element 22 lubricates each part of engine body 26, while the oil passed through the additional filter element 23 lubricates the bearing part of a turbocharger 27, thereby the feed of oil containing large foreign substances to the turbocharger 27, being prevented. |
