摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly and adjustment and contrive a reduction in size, by a construction wherein the first cam for driving a hammer to a large extent and the second cam for driving the hammer to a small extent are provided, and one of the cams is selected for driving the hammer. CONSTITUTION:The hammer 1 for striking a daisy wheel D is so supported that it can be turned with a shaft 2 as a center, and a pin 3 provided at an arm part 1a is brought into contact with a cam body 5 by a spring 4 provided at an end part 1b. An outer cylinder 5A is provided with the first cam 5a and the second cam 5b on the outer peripheries of both end parts thereof, and with pawls 5c, 5d on the outer surfaces of both ends thereof. When striking a matrix print element with a large printing area, the hammer 1 is driven by the first cam 5a against the energizing force of the spring 4, whereas when striking a matrix print element with a small printing are, the hammer 1 is driven by the second can 5b. With this construction, a small-type device easy to assemble and adjust can be obtained.
