The invention relates to a method destined for the automatic optical mark reading of multiple-choice questionnaires by scanning supported by an ordinary computer and a domestic not-specialized scanner of 75 dpi resolution. This method is characterised in that it allows the alignment and orientation of a form by use of only three stable round points defining the limits of the page and thereby the minimization or maximization scale of the form in the horizontal and vertical axis. The questionnaires concern polls, researches, assessments, studies, voting etc. Advantages: speed, reliability and abolishment of the human fault factor; the data are retrieved in ASCII characters on the screen for further processing or entry on databases via SQL; complete parameterizing of the questionnaires (arrangement, size, orientation, co-ordinates) while printing may be achieved in the form of simple photocopies with no use of special colour answering leaflets. |
