Aqueous or anhydrous cosmetic composition. This composition contains, in a suitable cosmetic vehicle, as main or secondary ingredient, at least one saturated condensate resulting from an addition reaction between 1 a bis-acrylamide of formula: <IMAGE> in which R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl radical having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and 2 at least one sterically hindered primary diamine of general formula: NH2-R-NH2 (II) The said condensate being saturated by hydrogenation or by addition of a thiol or an amine to the remaining acrylamide double bonds.
