Roof ridge sealing element made of plastic, which is semi-circular in cross-section, the undersides of its lateral edge strips (6, 7) resting on profile strips made of plastic foam. The lateral edge strips (6, 7) are provided in the region in which the profile strips (14) are arranged with a row of extensions (10) which penetrate into the plastic foam in a spike-like manner and/or hook into the said foam. The extensions may also be part of a barbed strip, which is adhesively bonded to the lateral edge strips (6, 7) from below. <IMAGE>
