The invention relates to an air humidifier, in which warmed or heated air is blown or pressed or sucked into or through a water container or through a water bath. The artificially generated mist, which arises as a result of the meeting of the hot element air with the cooler water bath, is guided via a corresponding device into a secondary chamber and is washed out and neutralised in a correspondingly temperature-controlled water bath by means of an air distributor. Chemical additives have the effect that breathing air which is pure and well-metered by means of electronic control leaves the air humidifier. Electronic or electric regulating installations control the entire activity of the air humidifer.
