Used for the face/gate transition area of winning operations in underground mining and tunnelling is a transfer station in which the gate conveyor, the curve-going conveyor and the face-conveyor transfer means with its transfer table form a unit, which, however, is sufficiently flexible in order to permit adaptations to changing conditions. The face-conveyor transfer means or the transfer table is connected to the advancing units of the gate conveyor so that all parts can be shifted with one and the same advancing apparatus. Via lifting devices, the face-conveyor transfer means can in each case be rotated and swivelled vertically and via a rotary table can also be rotated and swivelled horizontally. At the same time, the curve-going conveyor receiving the spillage coal is also integrated with the transfer station and is of such articulated design that it can be displaced in the direction of the roadway side when required. It is thereby possible to reliably catch all the spillage coal and to push the curve-going conveyor close up to the roadway side. <IMAGE>
