In the case of a relay which is constructed in accordance with the flux-plate principle and has an armature part (7) which can be spread by the flux plate (6), a copper-nickel coating, which is applied to both the armature part and to the flux plate, is used for magnetic isolation instead of plastic sheathing of the flux plate. In consequence, the dimensions of the iron parts can be reduced, which makes possible a considerable reduction in the dimensions of the relay. <IMAGE>
