The invention relates to an information-imparting device for attachment to a bicycle or similar riding or sports apparatus, with a data carrier with details of the identity of the cyclist, such as name, address etc., this device apart from a photograph of the cyclist having information, for example, on blood group, health insurance, people to be notified etc. The device is thus designed as an emergency identity card and means for saving the cyclist in an accident, and the data carrier (3) is removably arranged together with the photograph and personal information in a flat pocket (12) of the device (1).
