PURPOSE:To eliminate an exclusive charging station by providing a charger in a station. CONSTITUTION:When a conveying vehicle 7 arrives at the vicinity of a station 15, the charging electrodes 21, 22 of the station 15 are energized by the current collecting electrodes 13, 14 of the vehicle 7 via a driving unit 23. Thereafter, the power source of a charger 16 is turned ON, to start charging a storage battery 8 placed on the vehicle 7. The vehicle 7 which arrives at the vicinity of the station 15 drives a transfer unit 24 in parallel with the above operation to transfer an article 25 to be transferred from the vehicle 7 to the station 15 or from the station 15 to the vehicle 7. When the transfer is completed, the power source of the charger 16 is turned OFF to disconnect the electrodes 21, 22 from the electrodes 13, 14. |
