The invention relates to an energy supply chain, in the case of which the cross members which are split in the longitudinal direction consist of two rigid cross member parts and a resiliently elastic element arranged in between. In the maximum deformed condition of the resiliently elastic element, the width of the cross member is reduced to such an extent that it can freely be inserted into the recesses and removed from the recesses. In the partially destressed state of the resiliently elastic element, the cross member engages in a positively-locking manner with the recesses of the fishplates. Such an energy supply chain is distinguished by very simple construction and easy installation.
