PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-exchanger for a heating apparatus which is installed in a vehicle having no sufficient room in its engine compartment, by connecting a heat exchanger disposed in an air passage to a heater which is a heat- exchanger in the passenger's compartment through a water pipe having a large heat transmission capacity. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with the start of an internal combustion engine 16, intake-air is sucked into the engine from intake-air pipes 10, 10a through a burner 5 and a heat-exchanger 13. Further, in the burner 5, air flows into an evaporating chamber 19 from an air chamber 9 through an intake-air port 22a is mixed with fuel which is jetted from a jet port 6a after being heated by a heating plug 30 in a fuel nozzle 6, and thereafter, the thus obtained mixture is sucked into a combustion chamber 21 through a rectifying wall plate 20 and is burn by means of a spark plug 7. Meanwhile combustion gas flows into a heat-exchanger 13 from an exhaust port 23 through a rectifying wall plate 12 in a pipe 10a so that cooling water flowing through a water pipe 14 is heated by heat radiated from fins 13a. The heated cooling water flows into a heat- exchanger 3 for heating air in a heating intake-air passage 31 for heating, and then flows into the internal combustion engine. |
