PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material excellent in dynamic sensitivity and not showing the adhesion of scum to a head or stickiness in use at a high speed, by using a material having oil absorbancy with a specific value or more as the inorg. filler in an under coat layer and protruding the inorg. filler in a thermal color forming layer from the reference surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material having such a structure that an undercoat layer 5 containing an inorg. filler and a binder is provided on a support 4 and a thermal color forming layer 1 containing a leuco compound, a coupler for allowing said leuco compound to develop a color at the time of heating and an inorg. filler is formed thereon, a material having oil absorbancy of 100ml/100g or more is used as the inorg. filler in the under coat layer and the inorg. filler 3 in the thermal color forming layer is protruded from the reference surface thereof. As the inorg. filler with oil absorbancy of 100ml/100g or more, for example, there are baked clay-aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, diatomaceous earth and silicic anhydride and, especially, silicic acids are pref. |
