PURPOSE:To attain an access with a single seeking action by using a memory to store the address information corresponding to a defective track to the information corresponding to a substrate track and storing the information on a nondefective track with no conversion and with free resetting. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic disks D0-Dn are positioned at each target track by means of a head selecting circuit 20 and a seeking action control circuit 10. The input head address and cylinder address information Y and X are supplied to a memory 100 from registers 70 and 60 via a selection switching circuit 80. The memory 100 stores the information Y and X corresponding to each substitute track set previously instead of those information Y and X corresponding to the defective track. The information Y and X corresponding to a nondefective track are stored with no conversion. Furthermore a resetting part 90 is connected to the memory 100 via the circuit 80. The memory 100 is rewritten with an address signal AD delivered from the part 90. Thus just a single seeking action is enough with an access action. |
