An electronic circuit (10) for terminating a plurality of conductors (12a, 12b) at a node of a network, comprising means (22) to detect current flowing through one of the conductors and means (32) to switch between a continuing circuit, whereby continuity of the network is maintained, on detecting (24) current above a first predetermined threshold, and a terminating circuit, whereby the network is terminated with an appropriate terminating circuit, upon detection of current at, or below, a second predetermined threshold. The circuit can reduce errors occurring at other nodes in the network due to the voltage drop which would otherwise be present in a faulty node. |
