PURPOSE:To reproduce properly a transmission signal (recording signal) by referencing a reception signal including an external disturbance and the transmission signal to estimate an accurate transmission line characteristic in the waveform equalizing method shaping and recovering in reception signal waveform which is distorted through a transmission line transmitting and receiving a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:A transmission signal (recording signal) uk is fetched by a transmission line (recording medium) 1 and an output xk is outputted. The output xk is a true output of the transmission line 1 and a quantity observed actually. The external disturbance vk having correlation with the transmission signal u¦ is superimposed on the output xk. The signal superimposed with the external disturbance vk from the line 1 is yk and the synthesized signal yk is observable. The synthesized signal yk is inputted to an equalizer 2, where the signal is subject to equalizing processing and the result is extracted as a signal dk. Thus, the bias component due to the effect of external disturbance with respect to the characteristic estimation of the transmission line (recording medium) 1 is compensated. |
