PURPOSE:To obtain smooth connecting and disconnecting operation by transmitting revolving torque, through mutual contact when the difference of the speed of revolution of an elastic connector which can be deformed elastically, and a connecting tooth opposite to the connector is large, and through mutual connection when said difference is small. CONSTITUTION:When the clutch is under a disconnecting state shown in the figure, a push member 40 is moved to a V-pulley 20 side because a coil spring 44 is wound on a slot 42 when a handle 41 is turned to the left. Accordingly, a coil spring 29 is pushed in along the inclined inner circumferential surface of the V- pulley 20 to which the connecting tooth 26 is formed, and diameter-reduced, while being pushed against the connecting tooth 32 by a fixed force. In this case, friction and connection with the connecting tooth 32 are repeated through the elastic deformation of the spring 28 because the difference of the speed of revolutions between a driving shaft 16 and the V-pulley 20 is large first, and revolution torque is transmitted to the V-pulley 20. When the difference of the speed of revolutions is decreased, the spring 28 is connected to the connecting tooth 32, and the revolving torque is directly transmitted to the V-pulley 20. |
