<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more surely prevent a game machine from being illegally used in a display device and a television receiver to be used with the game machine connected. <P>SOLUTION: In the television receiver 100 provided with an external input terminal 41 capable of connecting a cable C of the game machine 200 and provided with a switch 42 to be turned on/off in accordance with the insertion/extraction of the cable C, an insertion/extraction monitoring means (insertion/extraction monitoring program 114e, etc.,) monitors that the cable C connected to the external input terminal 41 is extracted from the external input terminal 41 on the basis of an on/off signal outputted from the switch 42.
