<p>PURPOSE:An antitumor agent containing a carbacyclin as an active constituent. CONSTITUTION:An antitumor agent containing a compound expressed by formu la I (R<1> is H or alkyl; R<2> is H or methyl; R<3> is 3-butenyl, 5-methyl-4-hexenyl or 4-pentenyl) as an active constituent. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting a formyl derivative expressed by formula II (R<4> is a protecting group of OH group) with a specific anion at about room tempera ture for 1-3hr to give a compound expressed by formula III (Z is a protecting group of carbonyl group), reacting the resultant compound expressed by formula III with a reducing agent in an inert solvent to afford a compound expressed by formula IV (R<5> is a protecting group of OH group), reacting the resultant compound expressed by formula IV with a Wittig reagent in an inert solvent and removing the protecting groups R<4> and R<5> of Oh groups from the resultant compound expressed by formula V. The carbacyclin is a chemically stable compound having improved inhibitory action on blood platelet agglutination, etc., and the development thereof has been advanced as a remedy for thrombotic diseases, etc.</p> |
