<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the distruction of thin film transistors and to provide an easily visible display by selectively spraying spacer materials through a metal mask except the prescribed part thereby forming spacers. CONSTITUTION:The spacer materials are selectively sprayed to a transparent substrate 8 having a counter electrode 7 or a thin film transistor array substrate 6 having a thin film transistor array and multi-layered electrode layers, etc. through the metal mask which masks the thin film TR array part, the multi- layered electrode layers and the effective display part formed of the electrode 7 and the thin film TRs to form the spacers 11 having a desired height. The substrates 6, 8 are thereafter press stuck, then the mechanical stress by the press sticking is not exerted to the substrates and the destruction of the thin film TRs by the mechanical stress is prevented. The space between the two substrates is made uniform by the spacers having the desired exact height, by which the easily visible liquid crystal display having the high brightness accuracy is made.</p> |
