<p>Provided is a communication system including: a communication device which transmits and receives data; and a distribution device which receives and distributes data from each communication device. It is possible to reduce the capacity of storage means used when the distribution device temporarily stores data received from each communication device. A communication method which can reduce the capacity of the storage means is also provided. Databases (11a, 11b, 11c) owned respectively by distribution devices (1a, 1b, 1c) are divided into common regions (12a, 12b, 12c) shared by the distribution devices (1a, 1b, 1c) for storing data having synchronized contents and individual regions (13a, 13b, 13c) which are not transmitted or received between ECU (4a, 4b, 4c) connected basically to different communication lines (3a, 3b, 3c). When the distribution device (1a) has received data from the ECU (4a), it decides which of the common region (12a) and the individual region (13a) is to be used for storing the data.</p> |
