PURPOSE:To enable a tool rest to be positioned in multiple steps, by equipping a ratchet wheel, having restricting members which can be adapted to a stopper in the side of a slide base, to a slider movably and horizontally placed on the slide base and integrally formed with the tool rest. CONSTITUTION:This device, being provided for restricting the position of an advance end in a movable slider 6 in the longitudinal direction to which a tool rest is fixed, has a holder 11 hanging a supporting part to be provided in the rear end. The supporting part turnably fits to the periphery a ratchet wheel 13 forming ratchet edges 14, and said wheel 13 is urged by a spring so that the wheel may be turned in the counter clockwise direction. While restricting members 16, being screwed to the ratchet wheel 13 and consisting of bolts in number equal to that of its teeth, can be adapted to a stopper 10 mounted by a screw to a slide base 5. Then engagement of the ratchet wheel 13 with a ratchet 17 is released when a lifting member 20 is transferred to the upper stepped part of a cam 21. |
