<p>"Novel N-Heterocyclylmethyl Amide Derivatives" N-Heterocyclylmethyl amides of the formula (I) (I) wherein R1 is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or heterocyclyl radical; R2 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted C1-4 alkyl, or C3-4 alkenyl group; E is -CN, -CSNH2, alkoxycarbonyl, or a -CONR4R5 group wherein R4 and R5 may each be hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl or alkenyl radical; X is oxygen or sulphur, and R3 represents hydrogen or one or more substituents which may be for example methyl or chlorine. The compounds are herbicidally and fungicidally active.</p> |
