The homogenizer comprises a housing (1) in which fixed stator blades (2) and a rotor (6) having rotor blades (7) are accommodated. The stator blades (2) are constructed so as to project radially into the interior of the housing and are arranged in one or more rows which lie in essentially the same plane. The rotor blades (7) are constructed so as to project radially outwards away from the axes of the rotor (6) and are arranged in a manner similar to that of the stator blades (2). The stator blades (2) and the rotor blades (7) have a wedge-shaped cross section, the tips of their wedges facing one another and the adjacent lateral faces thereof being parallel to one another. <IMAGE>
