The accessory comprises at least one layer of absorbent fibres serving to give it body, and this layer also serves as a support for an application of a fragrant substance. The accessory is packaged in a container made from glass or equivalent material which can be sealed hermetically and adapted in order to insulate the said accessory from the ambient environment during its storage or between periods when it is being worn, the inside of the container enclosing a cartridge of fragrant substance capable of diffusing and maintaining the perfumed nature of the accessory.
