The animal-feeding equipment comprises a fodder hopper (1) with discharge opening (4), below and clear of which is a collector plate (5), on which the outflowing fodder forms a heap. A thrust plate (9) hinging on a horizontal axis thrusts the latter towards the edge of the collector plate and is actuated by a lever (10) on the same axis and moved by the animal. The collector plate extends horizontally and the thrust plate vertically downwards towards it from its hinge axis (7). The lever can be arranged to extend horizontally from this axis and past the collector plate edge.
