In a loader for agricultural utility vehicles with two parallel loading beams (17, 17') and at least one pressure-medium cylinder (19) swivelling the loading beams (17, 17'), each loading beam (17, 17') is constructed in two pieces from a basic beam (23) and a lifting arm (24), which can be connected to the basic beam (23), in order to avoid dismantling the loader (16) when utilising the construction space (14) available between the loading beams (17, 17') and to use the loader (16) for loading separate vehicles and for self-loading. The roughly L-shaped basic beam (23) can alternatively be secured to the vehicle frame (22) via two pivots (20, 21) at the free ends of its legs (23a, 23b) and has at each free leg end an insertion opening (31, 32) for the axial insertion of the lifting arm (24). <IMAGE>
