For reasons of safety, road gully tops with a collapsible grating are increasingly preferred. Attached at the side to the last transverse bar is a hinge part. The frame has a corresponding recess. In order that the grating cannot be folded up by the traffic, the hinge part is laid deeper in relation to the grating surface. As a result of the lateral arrangement of the hinge part, complete folding up and lifting out of the dirt collecting container is possible.
