<p>The application of the method is ideal for Dictionaries and the like, providing a Fast Finger Index for locating words. This method consists of mounting a tab on each page of the book. There are 2 groups of tabs: a Main Entry Index disposed along the height of the book in a descending scale composed of steps, and behind each one of these there is a Sub-index with groups of Normal tabs adjusted in height and in each case to the previous Entry. A special Strip is used for mounting the tabs, which, positioned on the pages of the book, shows by means of a scale the respective height in each case at which each tab has to be affixed according to the mounting plan. The Index projects beyond the edge of the book and is of great speed and ease of use to the user of this type of book.</p> |
