PURPOSE:To perform multiple address transmission with simple constitution without providing a multiple address device and a large-capacity storage device by driving a readout scanning part and making a readout scan on an original every time a transmission party specified during transmission is called. CONSTITUTION:When a communication switch is pressed, the readout scanning part 3 is set at a readout scan start position on an original platen 2 and an address number is read out of an area specified with an abbreviation key of a storage part 9. Then it is decided whether the readout result is correct or not and when the result is correct, a network control circuit 15 is driven to send out a call signal, calling the opposite terminal. When the opposite terminal answers to the call, the readout scanning part 3 begins to make a readout scan on the original and sends out obtained image information to a circuit 5. A control circuit 12 monitors the end of the transmitting operation during the transmitting operation. Consequently, the readout scanning part 3 makes a scan every for every transmission terminal and transmits the image information, thereby eliminating the need to store the image information.
