PURPOSE:To perform an image data conversion processing by providing a buffer memory which can be accessed by a host device and the microprogram of the buffer memory and utilizing the buffer memory. CONSTITUTION:An image data converting device 17 is provided between an external host device 25 and a slave communication network 26. Plural display user terminals 27-29 are connected behind the communication network 26 to constitute a videotex terminal. The buffer memory is provided in a device 17 and consists principally of a main buffer memory 36 together with a control memory 31 and a buffer register in an instruction receiving part 44. The main buffer memory 36, control memory 31, and buffer register in the instruction receiving part 44 have mutually different addresses, which form an address space accessible from the host device 25 and an MPU 35. |
