PURPOSE:To obtain an image available from erasing images other than a desired area by permitting a control means to operate an image erasing means according to the area specification of a position specifying means at the time of forming an image and switching a transportation path switching means so that the generated image can be led to an image discharging part. CONSTITUTION:Coordinate signals in X and Y directions of points specified by the position specifying means are converted into digital signals by A/D converters 45 and 46, enter a CPU 48 through an interface 47, and are stored in a memory 5. In the same manner each coordinate point is sequentially inputted and stored. Upon the completion of inputting, the CPU 48 reads coordinates out of the memory 51, decides a non-image forming area and gives indications to a control circuit 50 controlling the lighting range and lighting time of the image erasing means 19 composed of an LED through an interface 49. Thus an electrostatic latent image in the non-image forming area is erased by the image erasing means 10 to obtain only the image having the desired part. |
