PURPOSE:To enable automatic quantification, by dissolving and diluting a solid specimen containing ferrous oxide to prepare a liquid specimen for titration and succeedingly performing titration. CONSTITUTION:A weighed solid specimen containing ferrous oxide is put in a beaker 28 and mounted to the beaker mount hole 20 of a turntable 19. The table 19 is automatically rotated by one step to feed the beaker 28 to an P- position where a movable lid 29 is fallen to hemetically close the opening part of the beaker 28 and inert gas is injected in the beaker 28 from a nozzle 37. Further, a heater 26 is contacted with the bottom part of the beaker 28 to heat said beaker 28 while a predetermined amount of a solubulizing liquid is added to dissolve the solid specimen. At the same time, a predetermined amount of dilution water is added from a nozzle 36 to prepare a liquid specimen for titration. Subsequently, the beaker 28 is rotated at a B-position and inert gas is injected in the beaker 28 from a nozzle 41 and stirring is performed by a stirrer 40. Further, a titration liquid is added from a nozzle 38 to perform titration. As mentioned above, be rotating the table 19 by one step and treating the specimen in the beaker, automatic and continuous treatment is enabled.
