PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of backlash in a thrust direction of a drive roller, by inserting bearings, supporting both ends of a shaft piercing through the drive roller and rotating solidly with this roller and a ringlike elastic member both into the shaft between at least either of these bearings and the drive roller. CONSTITUTION:At an interval between a bearing 15 or a reference surface and an E ring 25 at the right, the gap is absorbed by two O-rings 22A and 22B having elasticity each whereby each member comes to be closely set up along an axial direction of a shaft 13 in consequence. Therefore, a drive roller 11, during its rotation, makes the shaft 13 preventable from moving in a thrust direction. Accordingly, the drive roller 11 comes into contact with a thermal adhesive tape MT at the same position all the time, therefore there is no variation in left and right from the center of the thermal adhesive tape MT, thus stably the tape MT is made travelable rectilinearly.
