PURPOSE:To prevent an in-rush current by applying a DC input to a converter in high input power factor, and stopping an in-rush current which flows to a smoothing condenser by a high bypass filter capacitor when a power source is turned ON, thereby obtaining high input power factor. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency power is supplied to a load Z, and a smoothing condenser 4 is charged. The condenser 4 is discharged in a valley of a full-wave rectified voltage waveform to smooth the DC input voltage of a converter IN. A high pass filter capacitor 2 is connected in series with the condenser 4, and an in-rush current to the condenser 4 generated when the power source is turned ON is stopped by the capacitor 2.
