<p>PURPOSE:To simply and efficiently purity a copper electrolytic soln. and to improve the quality of electrolytic copper and the current efficiency by adding a lower alcohol to the copper electrolytic soln. acidified with sulfuric acid to crystallize the sulfates of Sb and/or Bi as impurities and by removing the sulfates after solid-liq. separation. CONSTITUTION:A lower alcohol such as methanol or ethanol is properly added to a copper electrolytic soln. acidified with sulfuric acid, and the soln. is allowed to stand at ordinary temp. to crystallize the sulfates of Sb and/or Bi as impurities in the soln. The sulfates are removed after solid-liq. separation such as centrifugal separation or filtration. After the dissolved alcohol is preferably recovered by distillation or other method, the purified copper electrolytic soln. is used again.</p> |
