PURPOSE:To make a curl correction performable so surely, by controlling the rotation and stoppage of a second roller according to a loop of transfer paper to be formed between both first and second rollers contacting with a feed roller, in case of a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:When copying for a depex mode or a multiplex mode is indicated, transfer paper P out of an intermediate tray is fed to an interval between both rollers 1 and 2 and when a tip end P1 pushes a detection lever 4 upward, a sensor S detects this motion, whereby a solenoid 8 is excited after the specified time long, stopping rotation of a roller 3. Therefore, if the transfer paper P is further conveyed, a loop is formed between these rollers 2 and 3, and at that point that it comes to the specified loop value, namely, after the specified time, a lock of the roller 3 is released so that it is conveyed to an image forming zone again. Accordingly, with a lock time interval of the roller 3 varied, a curl correcting effect can be varied, thus curl removal of a sheet work or curling in the reverse direction is accurately performable.
