PURPOSE:To enable an ordinary user having no technical knowledge to appropriately determine an emergency in a countermeasure for a failure of one of several electrical equipment parts, by systematically classifying failure data of the several electrical equipment parts in accordance with the degrees of failures. CONSTITUTION:Failure data of several electrical parts, which are transmitted through a digital multiplex transmission system in an automobile are systematically classified, and are indicated by warning lamps divided in individual groups in the name of, for example, an air-conditioning system, a wiper mirror system, a cruise system, an engine system, a head lamp system, a battery starter, etc. As a result, it is possible to appropriately and easily determine whether the failure of an electrical equipment part is critical, whether any countermeasure is at once required or not, whether the running of the automobile is dangerous or not, whether the start of an engine is impossible or not, whether the running of the automobile is possible or not, whether any repair is required or not, etc. Further, a flicker indication having variable duty ratio is made to superpose a failure indication with the above-mentioned indication, thereby it is possible to utilize a conventional display panel.
