PURPOSE:To print a desired page only by skipping a printed page under the control of a printer not corresponding to the control of a host control part. CONSTITUTION:An operating part 13 contains a page register 16 which sets a page having no print by an indication and a start switch 17 which indicates the start of a no-print action. A print page control part 12 transmits the control signal to a line printer control part 14 by the number of pages and the start indication supplied from the part 13 to suppress the print by an amount of the input number of pages. The part 14 controls a line printer 11 with said control signal and also sends a dialog signal equal to that of a print mode to a host side control part 15. Thus a user can discontinue the output of an undesired list while looking at an output list of a printer.
