PURPOSE:To attain the accurate feed with no slip even with the recording paper having no feed hole by forming a V-shaped groove, on the outer surfaces of drive rolls in the axial direction of the rolls and in the circumferential direction rectangular to said axial direction to produce a quadrangular projection. CONSTITUTION:The V-shaped grooves 122 are cut equidistantly on the outer circumferential faces of 120 of both drive rolls 12 and 14 in the circumferential direction in the form of a single string of screw. While the V-shaped grooves 124 are cut equidistantly and in parallel with each other over the entire circumference of both rolls in the axial direction. Thus the quadrangular projections 126 are formed on the surfaces 120 of both rolls 12 and 14 in the form of screws. Therefore the projections 126 of both rolls 12 and 14 have approximately even contacts with the surfaces of pitch rolls 16 and 18 respectively. This produces no parts deformation of both rolls 16 and 18 and secures the high durability for a long period of time.
