PURPOSE:To make a wheel clamper higher in strength, lighter in weight and easy in handling as well as prevent a wheel from damaging, by constituting it with a conical trapezoidal taper cone and a dish-form pressing disc, made of engineering plastic, having a shaft through hole in each other. CONSTITUTION:This wheel clamper is constituted of a conical trapezoidal taper conve 10 having a through hole 15 in the center and a dish-form pressing disc 14 having an opening hole 16 in the center, both of which are made up of engineering plastics, for example, polyamide resin. In this constitution, a car wheel 3 is placed on a table of a tire changer 5, while an axis hole 4 of this wheel 3 is fitted in a taper cone 10, and a fixed pin 8 is inserted into a bolt hole 7. Next, a shaft 6 is pierced through the opening hole 16 of the pressing disc 14, covering a wheel 2 with the disc. Then, a clamp screw 11 is screwed in the shaft 6, and the pressing disc 14 is depressed, clamping the wheel. With this constitution, any damage to the wheel is prevented from occurring.
