PURPOSE:To obtain an oil component concn. meter added with the mechanism effective for the early discovery of a defective point and the repair and adjustment by adding another bypass circuit for connecting a means for measuring turbidity and a means for A/D conversion in such a manner that said circuit can be freely changed over to and from the conventional circuit. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 6 is opened for the specified time to put the sample water W in a cell 1 into the meter by which the turbidity thereof is measured. The means for measuring the turbidity is constituted of a light source 3, a detector 4 for transmitted light, a detector 5 for scattered light and a differential amplifier 8. An excitation circuit 7 for an oscillator is driven for the specified period and ultrasonic waves are irradiated into the sample water W by an ultrasonic oscillator 2 to emulsify and cloud the coil-component contained therein. A switch 19 is preliminarily changed over to another circuit 18 side and the output thereof is displayed on a display device 16 after A/D conversion at each of steps, then the display device continuously displays the turbidity of the sample water W. The switch 19 is preliminarily changed over to the circuit 18 side and the turbidity of the water W and the radiation intensity of the ultrasonic waves are displayed. The switch 19 is changed over to the normal measuring circuit and the difference in turbidity before and after the emulsification, i.e., the oil component concn. is displayed.
