PURPOSE:To permit rough FPC of parallel wiring pitch, etc., to be used for connection with external circuits as well as enable thermal head to be integrated and miniaturized by a method in which extended ends of electrode, etc., are arranged on plural groups of different positions and the parallel pitch of the connection of each group is set to rougher pitch thinned out from the parallel pitch of electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a two-raw thermal head having two heating elements 5 set in parallel, since the parallel interval between the adjacent common electrodes 3 is wide, the extending length exposed from the protective layer 5 of the outside signal electrode 2 of the common electrode 3 of narrow parallel interval is equalized with the length from the common electrode 3 side to the end of alternate base plate 1 and also with the length of the common electrode 3 on the way, although the extended length exposed from the protective layer 5 of the common electrode 3 is equally short. Connection with external circuits can thus be made by using FPC6' having connections 62' and 63' on the wiring end portion of rough parallel interval corresponding to the connections 2a and 3b of the short extended length and FPC6'' having a connection 62'' on the wiring end portion of rough parallel interval corresponding to the connection 2a of the long extended length. |
