PURPOSE:To make it possible to increase thickness of a synchronizer ring in its radial direction while decreasing dimension in its axial direction by providing both side surfaces of a sleeve for pushing and moving spring members of a depressing mechanism with cuts for accommodating arm-like parts of the spring members. CONSTITUTION:A sloped surface (cut) 12c of a sleeve 12 for accommodating an arm-like part 22a of a spring member 22 of a depressing mechanism 20 of a synchronizer ring 13 of a synchromesh device is formed sloping from a groove part 12b with its bottom part located nearly on a dedendum circle of an inner spline 12a of the sleeve 12 to the radially outward direction. This makes it possible for the setting position of the depressing mechanism 20 and a forming position of a step-shaped engagement part 13b for engaging the synchronizer ring 13 with the depressing mechanism 20 to be set more outward in the radial direction. Due to this, thickness of the minimum thickness part of the synchronizer ring 13 can be increased while maintaining the same rigidity and decreasing its dimension in the axial direction. |
