PURPOSE:To photograph with appropriate exposure by taking out information regarding the illuminance for an object from an automatic white balance sensor, performing a process for a display within an electronic view finder and displaying it as the illuminance within the electronic view finder. CONSTITUTION:A signal originated in the intensity of illumination is detected from an automatic white balance circuit 1 by an illuminance detecting circuit 3. The detected signal is displayed on an electronic view finder 5 through a display circuit 4. Signals from each output of a logarithm compressor constituted with an operational amplifier 20 and a diode 13 and the logarithm compressor constituted with an operational amplifier 17 and a diode 16 are taken out. Each of the signals taken out is inputted to an adder constituted with an operational amplifier 18 and a resistor 7 through resistors 6 and 12 respectively and is converted to the signal originated in the illuminance and is introduced to the display circuit 1 displaying on the electronic view finder 5 as the illuminance.
