PURPOSE:To simplify the connection between cells of a storage battery by directly using connecting lugs of plates. CONSTITUTION:For manufacturing of a plate group comprising two or three plates except a plate group using each one plate, connecting lugs 5 of plates used for connection between cells are formed to become longer than lugs 6 of other plates. Plates having lugs 6 are welded to the connecting lugs 5 by burning or electric resistance welding. Connection between cells is conducted by welding each other the connecting lugs 5 of adjacent cells arranged on both sides of a partition 8 of a container 7 through a hole 9 of the partition 8 by burning or electric resistance welding. Thereby, cast lead parts for connection or lead for welding can be eliminated. |
